ReBlackpool, Blackpool’s urban regeneration company, is tasked with delivering the vision of Blackpool Resort Masterplan. The Masterplan aims to transform the resort into a world class 21st century visitor destination that will provide a sustainable year round economy for all those living and working in Blackpool.
The Masterplan is a 15-year regeneration plan that focuses on the resort core: an area 5km long and 1km deep. It aims to develop Blackpool into a collection of memorable neighbourhoods, distinguished by individual assets in the form of attractions, landmarks, and natural public spaces.
Of course private sector developers and investors are vital to the regeneration of Blackpool. Blackpool currently offers a wealth of investment opportunities. For further information on development and investment opportunities in Blackpool please contact us.
A joint collaboration between Blackpool and the Fylde College and Lancaster University, it has the key objective to widen participation in Higher Education. The HE Campus will act as a potential regeneration catalyst, as new teaching and learning provision will be aligned with industry sectors that are increasing in economic inportance within this area and wider North West.
The strategy to achieve this is through this new dedicated Higher Education campus in the centre of the town based on the existing College Palatine campus. This site has tremendous potential because of its prime location, adjacent to most of the proposed Masterplan developments, and close to major road and rail links.
Therefore the education "offer" to both Blackpool's youth and more mature students is to be improved and revitalised by the provision of this innovative building which is due for completion in August 2009.
